Broker's Comments
Spliff is a very competitive very low mileage 2nd generation Class 40. She is at the same time very exciting and rewarding to sail and is particularly fast upwind in light to medium airs Spliff gives as much sailing fun as you can have with your oilies on!
She comes with the option of either roller furling genoa or hanked jib. Both have their merits depending on the skipper’s preference and sailing events.
Spliff is for sale only because the owner has moved on to cruising in the sun. She is one of the best value Class 40s on the market at present.
Spliff is built to a low weight and high righting moment 4.61 tonnes overall weight (minimum weight 4.5) righting moment 291 kg. So she is light and stiff, standing up to her canvas well. She has been officially measured. This is annually renewed by the Class Association. Their are options for further weight optimisation and maximising the Class mast measurement weight criteria.
