Broker's Comments
The fastest boat of her class in the world with a 24 hour record run of 403 miles in 24 hours. She has won consecutively two double-handed Transpacs and two Pacific Cup Races. In the 2008 edition of the 2008 Pacific Cup She was the first overall yacht to finish beating TP52,s and Santa Cruz 70s, won the event on corrected time and set a new San-Francisco to Hawaii double-handed record. The following year, Philippe Kahn and Mark Christensen beat the existing double-handed Transpacific Record by more than two days.
Originally launched as Artforms in 2003, under those colours she was the class winner of the 2004 Transat single-handed race and overall winner of the Bermuda 1-2, both in record times that still stand.
Refitted and repainted at Goetz Marine in 2007 prior to the Transpac Race. During the winter 2007/2008 the yacht was modified in conjunction with her designers and fitted with a 3 metre bowsprit, new keel and a taller PBO rigged Hall Spars mast.
Professionally maintained to the highest possible specification over the years, this ocean racing classic has never been in better condition.
Personally visited and photographed by Neil Chapman Founder of Boatshed.com who comments: You can see with the way this boat is prepped and maintained why she performs so well. New engine, wiring, electronics, pilots etc. etc. you name it and it has been replaced.
A Formula one racing machine kept in true Formula one condition...take a careful look at my photos and you can really see how good she looks.
Add to this the fact that I crawled every inch of her in a brand new pair of chinos and they came out looking as clean as when I went in, says it all!.
