Broker's Comments

Sailing Magazine reviewed the Jeanneau Trinidad 48 and described her as a solid bluewater cruiser with a sensible hull shape, a commodious interior and a friendly deck saloon-style pilothouse. In summary - 'A cruiser ahead of it's time that can make sabbatical dreams come true'

She has all the things I like in a yacht - I'm a big deck saloon fan but have to say that sometimes lines are compromised for that light airy interior. Not so with the Jeanneau, she still looks sleek and has retained wide clear side decks. As a cutter she has I think the most versatile sail plan for long term cruising. Lots of options and easy sail handling without losing performance with the mainsail arrangement. All lines lead back to the cockpit where an impressive line up of Lewmar winches take the strain.

Down below the saloon is spacious and comfortable and you really do feel as though you could spend a lot of time on this boat. The master cabin is huge and well thought out with an island bed and lots of storage. The aft cabins are mirrored either side and have good sized berths with heads that can be closed off for use as day heads

There are works in progress - the current owners plan to upgrade the electronics and have purchased B&G instruments which are not yet fitted. and there are a couple of areas of interior timber which need attention. However in general she appears to be in good order and has been lightly used in recent years.

Jeanneau built great boats in the 80's and this was one of their best. She certainly ticks an awful lot of boxes for long term cruising and compares very favourably with the modern pilothouse designs, particularly when it comes to price
